"My mission is to provide world-class orthopedic care with compassion and integrity, respecting the fact that every patient is unique and every problem is unique. My practice will be based on the latest, up-to-date, evidence-based medicine with proven surgical techniques backed by demonstrated outcomes in the peer-reviewed literature. I have completed 14 years of higher education and medical training at some of the most distinguished hospitals and schools in this country. However, I will have the courage and integrity to tell you “I don’t know” if I don’t. I can promise you that if I don’t know, I will seek the opinion of others. The patient will always come before my pride. Further, if I am not the “right” person to perform your surgery either due to lack of training or lack of experience, I will get you to that more qualified surgeon. I will do my best to be on time. I will listen to every patient. Each patient will have my undivided attention. My time is no more important than your time.
Finally, I will never forget that every patient is someone’s father, mother, child, sister or brother. You are priceless to them, and you are, therefore, priceless to me. It is my pleasure and my honor to be able to care for you. It is a privilege that I will never take lightly."
My daughter and I would like to give Dr. Ferrell the most heartfelt thank you. Lexi has wanted to play collegiate softball since she was 5 years old. The day she was told she had to have shoulder surgery; she thought that dream was over.
Dr. Ferrell is amazing; he explained the current anatomy of Lexi’s shoulder and what he needed to do to correct it in a way that she was able to understand. He answered every question thoroughly and was very reassuring. As a parent it is very difficult to hand your child to someone and put all of your trust in them, but Dr. Ferrell gained my trust by being so knowledgeable, honest, and caring. His care did not stop once he left the operating room. He made numerous calls to check on her, took our calls at any hour, and treated us like we were family. Today, I am happy to say Lexi is back on the softball field with no pain and playing great!
Thank you again Dr. Ferrell, because of you my daughter is back to doing what she loves with a big smile on her face!
