Dr. Timothy G. Hiesterman is a Montana Native, born and raised in Deer Lodge, and is a fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma surgeon. He provides comprehensive general orthopedic care including total joint replacement surgery of the hip and knee. He has extensive experience treating adult and pediatric fractures, the polytraumatized patient, fractures of the pelvis and acetabulum, complex peri-articular fractures, minimally invasive fracture care, and the correction of complications that arise from these injuries. Dr. Hiesterman is committed to keeping abreast of newly emerging techniques and the latest technology and is a leader in providing the highest standards of operative and non-operative orthopedic care.

Dr. Hiesterman remains on the front edge of new technological advancements in fracture management, and total joint replacements of the hip and knee. This includes state-of-the-art implants, computer-navigated surgery, robotic-assisted joint replacements, and minimally invasive surgical techniques. His overarching goal is to perform surgical procedures with the highest accuracy and in the least invasive manner possible, equating to faster recovery with better outcomes for his patients.

Dr. Hiesterman has a holistic approach and philosophy of care that is individualized to each patient’s needs, with a treatment plan created for each unique injury and specific situation. He strives to provide his patients with the highest quality of operative and non-operative orthopedic care available. Dr. Hiesterman brings his extensive knowledge of musculoskeletal injuries, complex fracture care, and joint replacement surgery to Bridger Orthopedics and is accepting new patients by appointment.

He is appreciative for the opportunity to return home to Montana.  He lives in Bozeman with his wife and three boys. Prior to joining Bridger Orthopedics, Dr. Hiesterman spent 10 years at St. Cloud Orthopedics caring for patients in central Minnesota.
